Rookie mini-camp starts for the Bills at the end of next week. Just a week ago, the draft getting underway and there were needs the Bills addressed. One of which was the wide receiver position - a position in flux for the Bills during this offseason.
After parting ways with Donald Jones and David Nelson, the team selected Robert Woods of USC and Marquise Goodwin of Texas. Talented Da'Rick Rogers also brought in as an undrafted free agent. Combined with some holdovers, the Bills hope they've found the right pieces to help complement Stevie Johnson.
"Brad Smith had an outstanding voluntary mini-camp. He really did," head coach Doug Marrone said. "Also T.J. Graham. I think we do have some players there that maybe not have played a lot in the past, but have really worked hard and shown us a lot. So when you sit there as a coach and you say, ‘Gosh these two guys are really good players.’ To pick one, those are the best situations you can be in. That is the type of environment we are trying to create."
