The third and final week of Bills organized team activities began Monday. There were a few injury concerns during team drills - never what you want to see this time of year.
Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin got tangled up with safety Duke Williams on a route. Trainers looked at his right knee and Goodwin left the field soon after. Defensive end Bryan Johnson was carted off with a left leg injury.
On the defensive side of the ball, newcomer Brandon Spikes is happy with the progress so far. The linebacker even saw work on special teams, getting reps playing the wedge.
"I'm all in, anything they ask me to do I'm gonna try to get it done at a high level - whatever it may be," Spikes said. "I hadn't played special teams since middle school maybe but it's fun. It's something new. It keeps it interesting."
Cornerback Stephon Gilmore has been limited so far in OTAs after offseason hip surgery. The former first round pick hasn't participated in team drills yet.
"I'm competitive but I know if I get out there I'm going 100 percent every snap so that's why I'm being smart," Gilmore said. "I want to practice but like I said, I'm getting ready to have a great season so that's why I want to be smart about it."
