BATAVIA, N.Y. - The support for Jim Kelly throughout his cancer treatment has been huge, and that continued at his biggest charity event of the year.

Nearly sixty celebrities were on hand for the Jim Kelly Celebrity Golf Tournament Monday morning at Terry Hills Golf Course in Batavia.

Due to his health, Jim was not at the event as he recovers from chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

His brother Dan stole the show before teeing off, by shaving his head in support of Jim, who shaved his head on Saturday.

Even though Jim wasn't there, he was still heavily on the minds of those that were.

"I think you can still feel the presence of him being here in not being here because all of the players that have shown up," former Bills running back Thurman Thomas said. "It's the biggest outing, I think, he's had over the history of his celebrity golf tournament. We knew there was a chance he couldn't be here, but I think all the players showing up, his presence is here and his presence is missed."

"Ralph Wilson, Jim Kelly, these are the two most important people in the history of the Buffalo Bills," ESPN anchor Chris Berman said. "It's only been around for over half a century, so that testament, you can't give a bigger one than that."

"Jim's a tough guy and to see him at this state health wise, it's tough to see," Bills center Eric Wood said. "But we know he'll fight through it and we're obviously all praying for him."
