ORCHARD PARK, NEW YORK - Nathaniel Hackett is settling into his new role as just the Bills offensive coordinator, after also holding the quarterback coaching duties last season.

Todd Downing has taken that position, coming over from Detroit. With Downing working with the likes of EJ Manuel, Hackett can concentrate more on observing the entire offense during drills. And for head coach Doug Marrone, he feels the new way of doing things is working out well so far through preseason workouts and rookie mini-camp.

"We talked a lot prior to about the responsibilities and things like that," Marrone said. "I’ve been around a working environment where we had that type of structure and Nathaniel had not been. We talked about that, but I see a very energetic coach and I see someone that is on top of everything. He’s around all the rooms, so it seems to be working out very well."

The first of ten Organized Team Activities begins Wednesday, where the rookies and veterans will join together for the first time. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
