ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - The Bills took the Memorial Day holiday off, but it's right back to work this week, as the first phase of organized team activities kicks off on Wednesday.
One of the keys to the team's success in the upcoming season will obviously be the play at quarterback. What kind of improvement can EJ Manuel show after an up and down and injury-plagued rookie season?
So far as the team prepares for 2014, you can count at least one receiver noting Manuel has been much more vocal and commanding in the huddle.
"His play calling is way better, this is our second year under (Nathaniel) Hackett's system, so way more comfortable with the verbiage and the lingo," wide receiver T.J. Graham said. "It's easier to communicate out there. We run a fast tempo offense so for us to communicate is key. This year he's come back in, he's got a whole offseason to practice, get his feet wet. So this year you've seen a different EJ, coming out yelling, screaming, and barking."
