ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Make it back-to-back days the Bills have hosted a highly-coveted wide receiver for a pre-draft visit.
Tuesday, Texas A&M wide out Mike Evans was in Orchard Park. Wednesday, it was Sammy Watkins.
The former Clemson star is considered the cream of the crop in this year's class. While he would make a great target for quarterback EJ Manuel, most mock drafts have him projected to be off the board long before the Bills pick 9th in the first round.
Watkins racked up 101 receptions with 1464 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Tigers last season.
He's 6'1, 211 lbs, but plays bigger than his listed size. He's fast - 4.43 seconds in the 40-yard dash - and can go up high to make the grab with a 34-inch vertical at the NFL combine.
The Bills also hosted a pair of offensive lineman on Wedneday - Notre Dame's Zack Martin and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif out of McGill University in Canada.
