EJ Manuel told reporters at the Super Bowl on Thursday that he underwent knee surgery following the season, calling it a "minor procedure."
The Bills rookie quarterback sat out the final two games of the regular season with a sprained left knee.
Looking promising at times in 2013, the first round draft pick's first season was overshadowed by three separate knee problems, leading to him missing a total of six games.
Manuel told reporters he's rehabbing and will be back to full strength. He also plans to wear a knee brace every game next season.
When he was able to play, Manuel threw for just under 2,000 yards with 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
