Heading into their game at the Buccaneers this weekend, the Bills are alone at the top of the league in quarterback sacks. 43 total on the season so far with Mario Williams leading the way with 12 of them, including three multiple sack performances. The sack total all well and good, but at 4-8 more needs to be done during games to finish.
"That's a category that we've done very well in, but we have to look at how much emphasis we're putting on that category, what we're doing well, and the emphasis we're putting on the categories that we're not doing well," head coach Doug Marrone said. "That's when I talk to the coaches about, constantly about process. Everyone knows that's worked with me, I'm way to the extreme on process, and that's the one thing we have to do a good job of because we have to figure out the consistency."
"More reps, more practice, more trusting your scheme and understanding what your job responsibility is," linebacker Manny Lawson said. "We do need more consistency. You know when we start off big and get a lead, we have to learn how to maintain that lead and that's something we are working forward to."
