ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Contrary to reports, the Bills are not looking to extend Donald Jones. The wide receiver will be available to other teams when free agency begins on March 12th.
The Bills released a statement Thursday saying that they will not tender Jones, who was signed by the Bills as an undrafted free agent from Youngstown State back in 2010.
Buddy Nix was quoted as saying that the team is moving in a different direction.
Jones is coming off his best NFL season. He finished 2012 with 41 catches for 443 yards and four touchdowns.
