BUFFALO, N.Y. — It was a big day at Canisius High School, as a trio of athletes signed the dotted line to continue their careers at Canisius College.

Mitch Cancilla will play soccer, Paul Burich will play lacrosse, and Adam Weir will join Jim Baron's basketball program.

One of the top players in Western New York, Weir averaged 18 points and seven rebounds last season while helping the Crusaders to the Manhattan Cup title.

"Yeah, it's definitely a dream come true. As a young kid, you set your goals of what you want to do when you get older, and getting a Division I scholarship, it's good to get that off the list," Weir said. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
