BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Niagara YMCA is collecting old, worn and tattered flags ready for retirement. Now through Friday, you can drop off flags at any of the eight YMCA branches.

The flags will be taken to Forest Lawn Cemetery Saturday June 14 for proper retirement. Etiquette says flags should never be thrown away.

Saturday is Flag Day, and the flags collected will be burned and properly disposed of during a ceremony.

For times and locations of the YMCA branches where you can bring your flag, call 716-565-6000 or visit their website. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 (http://commoncrawl.org/faq/) Profile: TWCSAMLSP
