ALBANY, N.Y. --- When the budget is approved it will include state funding for a new Bills lease.
State Assembly Majority Leader Joe Morelle says the state's portion of the funding for the 10-year, $271 million lease agreement, will be a part of New York's new budget.
No additional clawbacks were added by the state legislature to get the funding back from the Bills should the team break the agreement.
The lease includes $130 million in renovations to Ralph Wilson Stadium, which are scheduled to begin this year.
State and Erie County taxpayers will cover more than $226 million over the 10-year period.
The Bills can opt out of the deal after seven years.
