BUFFALO, NY--The future of downtown Buffalo's tallest building is the topic as a group of urban development experts meets this week.
The group will study what's best for the HSBC Tower.
In addition to the anchor, many tenants are not renewing leases, including the Canadian Consulate. This could mean that Buffalo's tallest building could end up vacant in the very near future.
Representatives from the Urban Land Institute will spend the week with local development experts, taking a hard look at the tower.
Some ideas being discussed include mix use options such as apartments and hotel space.
