NIAGARA COUNTY -- The cities of Lockport and Niagara Falls are holding gun buybacks Saturday to help keep guns from ending up in the hands of criminals.
Each buyback will be no questions asked and owners can exchange their gun in for cash.
Lockport Mayor Michael Tucker said while crime is down, last November and December saw a 27% spike in gun and drug related crimes in a part of Lockport south of Walnut Street.
Both buybacks are being held from noon to 5 p.m.
The Niagara Falls buyback will be held at the Fire Department 11th Street and Ontario Avenue.
In Lockport you can drop guns off at the Municipal Building.
