NIAGARA FALLS, NY--One Niagara County cultural center brewed up a fundraiser Friday evening to help solve its ongoing financial problems.
More than 500 people came to the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center to experience "The Art Of Beer". In addition to beer, the event offered wine and food from more than 20 local restaurants.
Organizers expect to raise around fifteen thousand dollars, which will go towards the NACC's budget. The center was denied 30 thousand dollars in potential funds last week when the Niagara Falls city council voted against a donation from the Oishei foundation. NACC officials said they are ready to rebound from the Council's decision.
NACC Volunteer Becky Dyster said, "The cuts that the nacc has had from the city council has actually energized people who support the NACC".
NACC officials said more fundraisers will be taking place in the coming months.
