BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Businesses looking to grow in Western New York will now have a one-stop shopping location.
Governor Cuomo announced Tuesday that the Erie County Industrial Development Agency and the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation will now centralize their officers at 95 Perry Street, where Empire State Development's Western New York regional office is currently located.
The move will allow the state, county and city to have all their economic development entities co-located in one building, which will save taxpayers money.
"Governor Cuomo said 'why aren't they all located in one place?'" said Empire State Development Regional President Sam Hoyt. "Don't we want to send a message to outside investors that you come to Buffalo and you can easily work with all of the economic development entities?"
Both organizations are expected to move to 95 Perry Street this summer.
