NIAGARA COUNTY, NY--One local family took the snowman building experience to a whole new level Sunday.
The Priester family of North Tonawanda built a 13-foot snowman in just a few hours. The family took snow from several neighborhood lawns and put it into pick-up trucks. Then they shoveled the snow onto their own lawn.
Dave Priester, the family patriarch who brainstormed the idea, said it was a great way for the family to have fun.
"We decided that we were going to take our grandchildren to go sledding at Ellicott Creek Park and then after that we were going to come home, have sandwiches, hot chocolate and build the world's largest snowman," said Priester.
More than 200 people came to see the snowman, which may become a family tradition.
