CLARENCE, N.Y. — New York State's new gun control law has left many people with unanswered questions and concerns.
State Police, along with members of the Division Of Criminal Justice Services, were at the Clarence Public Library on Tuesday to answer questions.
More than 100 people took part in the town hall style meeting and many said they were unhappy with the new law.
But officials told residents all they could do was explain the law and answer questions.
"We're simply here today to tell people what the law says and to the extent that they have questions and how it effects their personal situation, do the best we can to answer those questions," said Mike Green, Director of Criminal Justice Services.
State law enforcement officials will also be making stops in Rochester, Oswego, and Syracuse.
