Woman admits to hit-and-run crash involving motorcycle

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo woman has pleaded guilty to crashing into a motorcyclist and then running from the scene.

State Supreme Court officials say 36-year-old Jennifer Garno pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a serious physical injury accident and driving while ability impaired by a combined influence of drugs and alcohol.

Garno admitted to running a red light on West Utica Street in Buffalo on June 5th last year, crashing into a motorcycle driven by 51-year-old Jeffrey Stanton of Tonawanda. He was thrown from the bike and recovered in ECMC from serious injuries for over two months.

Police say Garno had morphine, cocaine, marijuana and alcohol in her blood.
