The Sabres are in Toronto to face the Maple Leafs in their second game of this year's shortened regular season. It's the first of two matchups against the hockey club this month. YNN's Don Heins is standing by at Air Canada Centre, where the Sabres face a big test.

It's time for the Sabres to turn things around. Yesterday, they were a fresh team facing a Flyers squad who had played the day before. And we really saw the difference in the third period, with the Sabres having so much more energy.

The shoe is on the other foot Monday night. The Toronto Maple Leafs had a rest day Sunday, while the Sabres have the quick turn around.

It's a scenario we will see a lot of in this lockout-shortened season, and immediately following yesterday's win, goalie Ryan Miller spoke about the challenges that presents.

"It's not that long of a season, so you want to get off to the best start you can. We would have been prepared either way to handle it and move forward. It's a good win. We've got to enjoy the way it feels the rest of the day and park it to get ready for the next one. It's going to be the theme of the season: how fast can you forget the good and the bad, because you've got another one."

Here's something to note. As a thank you to fans after the lockout - this is a free game for Maple Leafs Fans. It's been comped for season ticket holders, and an additional thousand seats have been given to the general public. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
