BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Teachers Federation says it's reached a deal with the district regarding teacher transfers.

BTF president Phil Rumore told YNN Friday that the 63 teachers who were forced to transfer will not return to their schools this year; but they will have the option to transfer back to their original schools in the fall.

Under the agreement, the 63 teachers will also get paid an extra $3,500.

The three schools that were affected by the forced transfers will receive $20,000 each for student resources.

Rumore says the union will now work to approve the teacher evaluation plan, which is due January 17th.

The district issued a statement Friday that said, in part: "This agreement allows the District to comply with state and federal regulations and allows the schools access to greatly needed resources." ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
