BUFFALO, N.Y. — One of Buffalo Central Terminal's original light fixtures found its way back home Monday.

Since closing in 1979, the terminal has fallen into disrepair and most of it's light fixtures and decorations have been sold.

The Central Terminal Restoration Corporation has acquired the fixture from the Navarro Gallery of Toronto. Gallery owner Robert Navarro was asking $9,000 for the fixture, but lowered it to $3,000 if the light went back to it's original home at The Central Terminal.

Navarro then decided to donate the light to the Central Terminal and instead use the funds raised towards the Adopt A Tile Program, which is aimed at building a new roof for the building.

This light is just one step towards the restoration of the terminal.

"It will help them replicate similar lights here to have an actual piece they will be able to scan it digitally, get exact specs. It will also it helps promote the terminal and it also brings awareness to this treasure we have here on the east side of Buffalo," said Christopher Byrd, Broadway Fillmore Alive.
