BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the latest homicide in the City of Buffalo.

Dozens of people gathered for a vigil Saturday night for Ahmed Coon, 40. Police say Coon was shot while shoveling snow on Mohr Street earlier this week.

Family members say Coon had recently returned to Buffalo and found work.

"He was trying to do the right thing and working every day. He got off second shift and came, was shoveling snow, you know," said Antoine Thompson, Coon’s cousin.

If you have any information on the shooting, you're asked to call 911 or the Buffalo Police confidential tip line at (716) 847-2255. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
