BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A holiday homecoming awaited several local soldiers Christmas Eve.

Twenty-five soldiers from the New York Army National Guard rejoined their families in Western New York. They spent a year supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Kuwait.

"It's pretty much like a gift for the family, I guess. It's nice to get home before the holidays," said Sgt. Roger Browning Jr.

These troops join others who returned home earlier this month from Camp Shelby in Mississippi.
