EDEN, N.Y. — A Eden high school student was hit by a car Tuesday morning while he was crossing in the crosswalk.

It happened on Schoolview Drive near the Eden Junior Senior High School around 7 a.m. Tuesday.

The 14-year-old boy was taken to Women and Children's by Mercy Flight; no word yet on his condition.

Police say the driver of the car, a 28-year-old man from Orchard Park, was given a citation for failure to yield in a pedestrian crosswalk.
