Thanksgiving food safety

While preparing and enjoying your Thanksgiving dinner, remember food safety! The Erie County Department of Health reminds you to wash your hands frequently while preparing your meal.

Cook your turkey to 165 degrees before serving. Refrigerate your leftovers two hours after preparation, and reheat leftovers to 165 degrees.
