BUFFALO, N.Y. — The George Wilson SAFETY Foundation partnered with the United Way to host its third annual Thanksgiving food drive Monday at the Northwest Buffalo Community Center.
More than 200 families received turkeys and all the fixings for the thanksgiving holiday.
Children of all ages enjoyed refreshments and the company of Wilson, who signed autographs for his smallest fans.
Wilson says the event is the perfect way to give to those who are less fortunate than he is.
"It's our third year doing this as the George Wilson SAFETY Foundation. It's progressively gotten bigger and bigger every year, and it's just a great opportunity for me to share my blessings with the Buffalo community," Wilson said.
The Foundation will also be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner at the Food Bank of Western New York Tuesday.
