BUFFALO, N.Y. — The owners of a former Buffalo nightclub face prison time for federal tax violations.
67-year-old Vincent Giamo and 59-year-old Mary Giamo of Orchard Park admit they cheated the IRS out of more than a million dollars in tax payments.
The Giamos owned and operated the nightclub Utopia on Franklin Street in Buffalo from 2002 to 2005. They kept two sets of books; one set of false books for the IRS, and another with the real numbers.
Vincent Giamo faces five years in prison. His wife faces three years for helping in the scheme.
