FALCONER, N.Y. — The Falconer Volunteer Fire Department and fire crews from surrounding communities fought a three alarm blaze at an old gas station on the village's East Side Monday night.
The call came out around 9 p.m. for a fire on East Main Street near the Falconer I-86 on-ramp. The building was engulfed in fire when fire crews arrived and eventually it caved in.
Fire officials say there were no people inside at the time and no firemen were injured fighting the fire.
The Falconer Fire Departent had assistance from eight other fire departments in getting the blaze under control.
The cause is under investigation.
