BUFFALO, N.Y. — A west side family's pleas to help find their missing dog were answered Wednesday.

The Marciano family was overjoyed when their missing dog, Reggie, was returned. The four-year-old pit bull mix escaped from his family's yard two weeks ago after a wind storm blew down their fence.

The family posted pleas for his return on Facebook and offered a $500 reward.

The last news the family had received was that a man who lives on West Utica found the dog, then sold him to a woman in a green van for $40. The dog was returned by a man Wednesday evening.

"We're going to have a party. We want to have a party and try to invite as many people that helped us on Facebook as possible. Just to show them how happy we were that they helped us and they didn't really have to," said Dave and Michelle Marciano.
